Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 5

WAYFINDING, CONCEPT DESIGN, AVIATION

Terminal 5 (T5) is a bold reimagination of the airport experience as a social extension of the city rather than a monolithic passenger processing facility. Designed as a green and sustainable terminal building, Terminal 5 will welcome up to 50 million more passengers a year to the most celebrated international airport in the world.

A comprehensive wayfinding strategy was developed for Changi Airport Terminal 5, designed to support one of the world’s largest and most complex upcoming airport terminals. The project integrated signage design and design concepting to address high passenger volumes, long travel distances, and multiple modes of transportation, including buses, the MRT subway, and an internal SkyTrain system. Emphasis was placed on legibility, consistency, and spatial hierarchy to enable intuitive navigation across all zones, enhancing overall passenger flow within the expansive terminal environment.
